Apparently it is not a felony to assault a healthcare worker either if 1) It is not your duty to do so, or 2) If the healthcare worker is not on duty.
And it is not clear whether there are, in fact, times when assaulting a healthcare worker is permissible.
I do know that, while I was not actually assaulted for taking the photo, I was scolded in a clear and unambiguous voice by the receptionist because it was not permissible to take photos in their office. I had not noticed a sign to that effect, but in turning to look for one, I saw that everyone in the waiting room was interested in my crime.
